Steve Alessi

Steve Alessi is a visionary who takes ideas and turns them into action through solid strategic processes. Steve’s intuition, foresight, insights, passion and leadership drive his ability to take complex business situations and bring organizational focus to them to accomplish objectives. Steve sets ambitious goals for organizations in which he is involved, but his approach is founded in strong financial and general business acumen. A coach by nature, he is a leader who inspires and empowers people to reach their highest potential and is respected by his peers.

Since January 2018, Steve has served as Regional President for Advance Local, one of the leading U.S. digital media and marketing companies, He has been overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations in New Jersey, Lehigh Valley, the New York metro area and Philadelphia during an intensely transformative period for the publishing business. Steve joined Advance as VP Advertising Sales, Operation and Business Development for The Star-Ledger in 2013. As the company consolidated newspaper and digital business units across New Jersey, forming NJ Advance Media, Steve rose to the position of Chief Revenue Officer effectively meeting revenue goals while restructuring sales and operations to be most efficient during a particularly disruptive period in the company history.

Steve holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in business from Villanova University, entering the media industry more than 18 years ago. Prior to joining Advance Local, Steve developed his management, sales and operations expertise as General Manager and VP of Digital for the Philadelphia Media Network, VP of Advertising Sales and Operations for American Greetings and Director of Sales with Advertising.com.

Steve lives in Cream Ridge, NJ with his wife, Jennifer, son Jake and daughter Morgan.
